Brand24 alternatives for AI visibility: what the add-on actually costs
By Arnav Mukherjee, founder of TofuBofu · August 10, 2026
I went looking for Brand24's AI visibility pricing expecting to find it in the $149 to $399 range, because that is what three separate comparison articles told me. Then I read their own pricing page.
Plans start at $249 a month, not $149. And the AI Visibility module is listed as an add-on on Individual, Team, Pro and Business, becoming standard only on Enterprise, from $1,499. That reframes the comparison entirely, and it is why this post exists.
Nine engines, and a $1,499 door in front of them
Brand24 names nine AI surfaces: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, DeepSeek, Grok and Copilot. That is more than anyone else we have checked, and it is not close.
The detail worth pausing on is Claude. Most of this category quietly leaves it out. It is not on Ahrefs Brand Radar's published engine list, not on Semrush's, sold as a paid add-on by LLM Pulse, and available only "on request" from Omnia. Brand24 includes it. In our own 15-region study Claude behaved nothing like the retrieving engines, corroborating on just 2 of the 129 companies it named, so it is the engine most likely to say something strange about you. A tool that skips it is skipping the weird one.
The pricing, read at the source
Notice the unit. You buy keywords and mention volume, which is social listening's currency, not buying questions. Three keywords on the entry plan is a brand name, a product name and maybe a competitor. That is a different shape from tracking the fifteen questions a buyer might ask before choosing a vendor.
Two products that meet in the middle
Where Brand24 is the right buy
Three situations, honestly:
You already need social listening. If PR, reputation and mention tracking are real line items for you, buying AI visibility as a module on a tool you were purchasing anyway is efficient. Do not buy a second product for a job your first one now covers.
You want the widest engine net. Nine surfaces including DeepSeek and Grok is more than we cover, and if your buyers are somewhere unusual that breadth is worth paying for.
You have a team to act on the output. Everything below is about what happens after the dashboard, and if you have people for that, the gap matters less.

Every tool in this category says it helps you improve. Here is ours stated as things that exist rather than as a promise, because the difference is checkable.
And the Analyst, which is where most tools now have something and almost none of them have this: ask ours a question your data cannot answer and it refuses and names what would answer it. It runs on a deterministic pack built from your own stored scans and is instructed never to state a number, a query or a trend that is not in that pack. It also treats every AI answer it reads as untrusted quoted text, so a competitor's answer cannot smuggle an instruction into your analysis. A copilot that improvises about your visibility is the exact failure this product exists to catch, so ours is built to shut up instead.
All six engines, Claude included, are on the free plan. Measurement is the part of this category that has commoditised. The three rows above are the part that has not.
Where it stops, and what to weigh instead
Brand24 measures. It does not fix. It will tell you that ChatGPT names a competitor on a question you should own, and it will not write the comparison page, publish it to your CMS, or re-run the question next month to show the answer changed. That is not a criticism of the build, it is the boundary of a listening product.
This matters more than it used to, because measurement has commoditised. Tracking starts around fifty dollars a month across the category, several tools give away a free checker, and G2 created a dedicated AI search visibility software category in March 2026. When a capability gets a category page and a free tier in the same year, its price is heading toward zero. Paying enterprise rates for the commoditising half is the thing to think hardest about.
Whatever you shortlist, run the same checks on the report itself. We wrote up eleven of them, and the first two matter most: can you read the engine's full verbatim answer, and does a "not mentioned" verdict survive searching that answer for your name. A tool that cannot show you the text is asking you to take its core claim on faith.
One more thing to ask any vendor, Brand24 included: get the per-engine breakdown rather than a blended number. Across five metros we found 85 percent of firms were named by exactly one engine of four, with none appearing on all four. A single averaged score hides the only finding you can act on.
Frequently asked questions
Does Brand24 track AI visibility?
Yes, and across more engines than anyone else we have checked: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, DeepSeek, Grok and Copilot. Nine. The catch is packaging. On Brand24's own pricing page the AI Visibility module appears as an add-on across the Individual, Team, Pro and Business tiers, and is listed as standard only on Enterprise, which starts at $1,499 a month. So the engine coverage is genuinely best in class and the path to it is the most expensive in the category.
How much does Brand24 cost?
Read at their pricing page in August 2026: Individual $249 a month or $199 billed annually with 3 keywords and 2,000 mentions; Team $349 or $299 with 7 keywords and 10,000 mentions; Pro $499 or $399 with 12 keywords and 40,000 mentions; Business $699 or $599 with 25 keywords and 100,000 mentions; Enterprise from $1,499. Note this is priced in keywords and mention volume, which is a social listening unit, not in prompts or buying questions.
Is Brand24 good for AI visibility specifically?
It is good at the half of the problem it was built for. Brand24 started as a social listening tool and it is strong at telling you where you are being talked about across the open web and social platforms, which genuinely matters because engines repeat what independent sources say about you. What it does not do is the work after the measurement: it will not write the comparison page you are losing on, publish it to your CMS, or re-scan to prove the answer changed. If your problem is knowing, it is a reasonable buy. If your problem is being absent, it stops one step short.
What are the best Brand24 alternatives for AI visibility?
It depends which half you need. If you want the widest engine coverage and already have a team to act on the data, Brand24 is defensible. If you want prompt-level tracking at a lower entry price, LLM Pulse starts around 49 euros and Omnia around 79 euros, though both charge extra for Claude or make it available on request. If you want measurement plus the fix produced and published, that is where we sit, with all six engines on the free tier. Whichever you pick, ask for the per-engine breakdown rather than a blended score.
Is social listening the same as AI visibility tracking?
No, though they are closer than they look and the overlap is real. Social listening tells you who is talking about you. AI visibility tells you whether a machine recommends you to somebody who has never heard of you. The connection is that engines lean on independent corroboration, so mentions feed visibility. But you can be widely discussed and still absent from the answer, and you can be named by an engine on the strength of directory listings while nobody is discussing you at all. Measuring one is not measuring the other.
Does Brand24 track Claude?
Yes, and that is worth crediting because most of the category does not. Claude is absent from Ahrefs Brand Radar's engine list, absent from Semrush's, and sold as a paid add-on by LLM Pulse or available only on request from Omnia. Brand24 names it among its nine. This matters more than a feature-count quibble: in our own 15-region study Claude behaved nothing like the retrieving engines, corroborating on just 2 of the 129 companies it named, so a tool that skips it is skipping the engine with the most unusual behaviour.
