Generate a real llms.txt for your site
llms.txt is a plain-text file at your site root that tells AI engines what your site is and which pages matter. This builds one from your actual published pages, not a template with placeholders. Paste your domain, copy the result, publish it at /llms.txt.
Free, no signup, no email. Runs on your live site.
This tool checks your plumbing. It cannot tell you if AI recommends you.
A free scan asks your buyers' real questions across all 6 AI engines and shows who gets named instead of you.

What is llms.txt?
A plain-text file at the root of your site (yoursite.com/llms.txt) that describes what your site is and lists the pages you most want AI engines to read, in a simple markdown-style format defined at llmstxt.org. Think of it as a README for machines: robots.txt says what crawlers may access, llms.txt says what matters and why.
Does llms.txt actually do anything yet?
Honestly: adoption is early and no major engine has committed to reading it as a ranking input. What it reliably does is give any model that fetches your site a clean, unambiguous summary instead of making it infer your business from navigation and marketing copy. It costs one file to publish, so the asymmetry is good, but treat it as hygiene rather than a lever.
Where do I put the file?
At your web root, so it resolves at yoursite.com/llms.txt. On WordPress you can upload it to the root directory or use a plugin that serves root files; on Webflow, Framer and most hosted builders you add it via the hosting or custom-files settings. If your CMS cannot serve root files, that is worth knowing on its own, because the same limitation affects other AI-readability work.
How is this different from robots.txt?
robots.txt is permission: which crawlers may fetch which paths. llms.txt is orientation: what your site is about and which pages carry the substance. They solve different problems and you want both. Our AI crawler check covers the robots.txt side.
Do I need to update it?
Refresh it when your positioning changes or you publish a significant new section. It is generated from your sitemap, so re-running this tool after a content push gives you an updated file. There is no benefit to updating it more often than your site actually changes.
Is this really free?
Yes, and there is no email wall. The tool crawls your sitemap and generates the file. The thing we sell is different: scanning six AI engines with your buyers' real questions to see whether they name you, which no static file can tell you.
