Which AI engines does TofuBofu check, and why do they disagree?

Every plan, including the free one, queries all six engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Microsoft Copilot. Engines are never plan-gated; only the number of questions asked, whether sentiment is scored, and how many times each question is sampled change by plan.

Why the same question gets different answers

ChatGPT and Claude answer mostly from what they learned during training. Perplexity is retrieval-first, so it searches live and tends to cite sources the other two never see; measured across a large sample of our own query rows, Perplexity agrees with ChatGPT and Claude less often than they agree with each other, and has the highest mention rate of the six. Gemini and Google AI Mode read Google's own index. Copilot reads Bing's. Different sources, different answers, and disagreement between engines is a real finding about where you are and are not visible, not measurement noise to average away.

If one engine looks stuck at zero

A single engine at zero across every question, while the other five vary, is worth a second look before treating it as a finding about your visibility: check the report for that engine's rows marked unmeasured rather than answered, and see "Why did my scan find nothing" above.
