Documentation / Publishing

How do I connect and publish to Zapier?

Zapier is a live publish adapter: TofuBofu writes finished articles as drafts you approve, then publishes them into your own automation bridge. This page covers connecting it, how we verify the connection, and what to do if it does not work the first time. For the full picture of every publish destination, see Integrations.

Connect

In Zapier: create a Zap with a Catch Hook trigger, copy the webhook URL, and paste it below. Then map the fields onto any Zapier action (Squarespace, Notion, LinkedIn, and thousands more).

FieldWhat to enter
Webhook URLPaste the catch-hook URL from your scenario/zap

Zapier's own documentation for this step →

Verify

TofuBofu sends a real test request to the webhook URL you pasted and checks Zapier accepts it. A green connection means the Zap answered just now, not that the URL is merely well formed.

Troubleshoot

The connection test fails or returns an error code.

Make sure the Zap is turned ON. A Zap that is off, or still in draft, answers nothing, or answers with an error, to a webhook call.

Nothing shows up in Zapier when we publish.

Confirm the webhook URL was copied from the Zap's own Catch Hook trigger step, and that the Zap has not been turned off or deleted since you connected it.
